Great Player, Classless Bitch
I CAN NOT WAIT for someone to take a run at Ovechkin. It WILL happen. And I don't care how cheap it is. I will laugh hysterically. Injury or not, he'll have asked for it.
3rd best, but that's just my opinion, and I can see that point. He's still a major dickhead, who likes to head hunt and hide behind Brashear. He'll get his.
I've said it before...headhunters need to lose their shields.
Don't get me wrong, he's great. But he also gets taken out of his game b/c he's too worried about taking cheapish runs at people. The guy's a douche bag.
Hes a better scorer than 87, but he doesn't backcheck, grind, skate, or feed nearly as good as Sid. I don't think he's nearly as good a leader. When the dust is settled, we'll see whose the first to hoist a Cup. And with talent like Semin & Backstrom, you can't say that Sid's got that much better around him. I'll take Crosby every day, plus he's got tons more class.
Never understood the dislike of Crosby from Canada. Maybe it's just a case of overload. But I'd be proud of him. Besides being a stud on the ice, the dude is a complete gentleman and role model of it.
For what it's worth, this rivalry is GREAT for the sport!!
i don't think it's dislike up here. (well aside from don cherry maybe but he's an ass anyway.) sid was built up so god damn huge up here ... it's hard to say he's lived up to the hype. no fault of his own -- he didn't talk himself up, the media did -- but i think that's where it's at.
