I'm mixed on this. I used to think I hated ESPN b/c they didn't show my two favorite sports (hockey & soccer).
But now I sorta hate them for their propensity to turn everything into a soap opera. I don't think ESPN necessarily gets the whole "team" concept thingy, which is what I love most about those two sports.
They'd be too fixated on the stars and their girlfriends in the stands than they would with the game on the field. Take for instance the whole Becks thing. His first game in LA, you missed all the action b/c they had constant hero shots on Becks.
with all that said...
FUCK ESPN. Leave hockey and footie alone. I'll pay my extra $5 / month for FSC, GolTV, and NHL channels.
