kinda getting jackt for tonight

Let 'em know you're there!!

Just heard Eric Godard will be dressing tonight. It'll be EG's first game since...what'ya know...that last game they played on Long Island. Sounds like Chris Conner may get sacrificed. I'm not sure I necessarily agree with breaking up one of our best lines right now (Talbot-Dupper-CC), but I do think dressing Godard is the right thing to do.

I'm NOT suggesting the Pens should seek retribution and muck it up tonight. However, I've been hearing a lot of dopes on the Fan suggest that the NHL is going to have a word with both clubs tonight. REALLY?!? Think about this for a second...

THE NHL DOING SOMETHING TO PREVENT SOMETHING STUPID. Say it again...

The Pittsburgh Penguins should rely on THE NHL DOING SOMETHING TO PREVENT SOMETHING STUPID??

That would be a first.

The Pens need the meat in the line-up tonight, for protective purposes only. The NHL isn't going to prevent a god damn thing. Again...not saying we need to start anything. We just need a presence. The Islanders have nothing to lose. We do. THAT, combined with the fact that Garth Snow is a Moron, should scare anybody that these puke bags will come out with more cheap shots.

They send out Gillies. We send out Godard. Take them both for 10 minutes. Who cares. They send out Haley. We send out Rupp. They send out Tonkaturd. We send out Engelland. Give them all game misconducts. Just keep them off the ice. Otherwise, you're giving the Isles a free pass at attempting to injure.

What we can't have, is jag bags like this skating around taking runs at Jordan Staal, Kris Letang, and Chris Kunitz.

I think it's a move that HAS to be made. Simply because: I'm tired of relying on the NHL to take matters into their own hands. It will NEVER happen.

So what if Godard or Asham breaks a hand on someone's face? Or Engelland for that matter. If it saves one of our stars from getting another concussion, I say OK.
