TWO more GBV Dates; Paste Mag piece on Bob's busy 2011

Friday, June 17th - Philadelphia
Saturday, June 18th - Brooklyn

fckya!

The Philadelphia show will be outside at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing between Chestnut Street and Columbus Boulevard.  More deets to come.

The Brooklyn gig will be at McCarren Park at Bedford Ave and N 12th Street as part of the Northside Festival.  This should be a big one...brand new 5,000 capacity outdoor venue.  Tickets are on sale at TicketFly HERE as of April 8th.  $30 advanced - $35 day of, and that includes admission to see Beirut.  4 day passes can be bought for $70, which includes 250 (?!?) bands.  250??

Essential reading...nice little piece from Paste Magazine with Bob talking about each of the 3 (three!) records he's released over the 1st quarter of 2011, and the differences between each.... GO HERE.

His newest,  Mars Classroom - The New Theory of Everything has been on constant rotation on our turntable since it arrived last week.

MP3 At 3PM: Mars Classroom

The first two tracks, "New Theory" and "Man! Wine! Power!" are a couple of real tasty pop treats. The final tune, "Wish You Were Young" is the perfect wrap up. More nuggets throughout. Available on red vinyl. Get it now. Do it.
